The participants for Isolation Week have now been selected.
10 participants, 1 week: 20th – 26th June. 168 hours in total Isolation. How will they do?
Agreeing to remain housebound, giving up their social and working lives, all communication and human contact for seven days and seven nights will be:
- Leigh Andrews (24) a computer operator from Bristol
- Yuri Deary (22) an international relations student and Kira Goldy (37) an alternative health practitioner from Nottingham
- Caro Hart (50) Service Development Manager at Independent Age from Letchworth Garden City
- Lisa Church (30) a PR consultant from Reading
- Dafydd Crisp (22) an art student and Christie Vincett (23) a performing arts student from North London
- Louise Fisher (38) Friends of the Elderly’s major donor and events manager from South West London
- Pam Stopforth (40) Dementia Development Coordinator for PSS from Liverpool
- Amanda Watkins (36) a personal assistant at WRVS from Cardiff
Each day between 20th-26th June you can follow the progress of the participants through daily video diaries and blog posts as they experience a taste of what it might be like to be an older person living in total isolation from society.
